Ten Books I May Have Forgotten to Rave About

TTT

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted at The Broke and the Bookish.

For today’s Top Ten Tuesday, the topic is, “Ten Books I Really Love But Feel Like I Haven’t Talked About Enough.” Okay, it was kindaaa hard to come up with 10 titles because when I love a book, I rave like a maniac. BUT I MANAGED TO. And now you have to make sure you read all the books in this list, m’kay?

In no particular order, here are the books!

#1. the Darkest Powers trilogy by Kelley Armstrong

RAVE TTT-1x

I read this trilogy WAY back in 2011 when I was still a novel newbie. I don’t remember too much about it, aside from the fact that my Chloe/Derek ship game was pretty strong. XD Also, I remember getting totally addicted to this trilogy and devouring it in just a few days.

#2. Dark Reflections by Kai Meyer

RAVE TTT-2

This is another book (bind-up, actually) that I read in 2011, and it was one of the most imaginative and unique books I’ve read–at least from what I remember. Heh. Also, THE ENDING TOTALLY BROKE ME (although you probably didn’t need to know that).

#3. Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev

RAVE TTT-3

I’m only going to rave about the first book since I didn’t like the second and was to heartbroken to read the third because (as usual) I may or may not have spoiled myself… ANYWAY, this book was so freaking adorable, and magical, and overall just absolutely unique and entertaining. Highly recommended to fantasy lovers!

#4. Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles

RAVE TTT-4

If you like emotional reads, character development, and Simone’s Perfect Chemistry trilogy, then you DEFINITELY should read the Leaving Paradise dulogy as well. Trust me. The second book, especially, will kill you.

#5. Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen

RAVE TTT-5

If you want to explode from cuteness, then definitely read this one. And then watch the movie because asdfghjkl dude my ship it’s just so much cuter when you can see it! And then download this wallpaper because feels.

#6. That Boy by Jillian Dodd

RAVE TTT-6

Again, I’m only recommending the first book because the second book was total shit and I haven’t read the third one yet. That Boy was just super emotional, and cute–plus y’all know how much I love those childhood-friends-turned-lovers trope. <3

#7. The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler

RAVE TTT-7

I know you’ve all seen me rave about the absolutely amazing The Summer of Chasing Mermaids already, but I need y’all to know that that isn’t the only amazing Ockler book I’ve read (so far). The Book of Broken Hearts = love. We have amazingly easy-to-read writing, a non-jerk hero, a loving heroine, and amazing family dynamics. You guys MUST read this.

#8. Whatever Life Throws At You by Julie Cross

RAVE TTT-8

I do recall having a mini rave phase for this one, but that definitely wasn’t enough! Julie Cross is one of the only NA authors I adore, and this book has AMAZING pacing, a perfect hero and family love! You can check out my full review for it right here.

#9. The Improbable Theory of Ana and Zak by Brian Katcher

RAVE TTT-9

This weird, geeky book has: a) two lovable characters who have tons of development, b) HILARIOUS banter, and c) life lessons that aren’t thrown into your face! For more on what to expect going into the book, check this out.

#10. When My Heart Was Wicked by Tricia Stirling

RAVE TTT-10

If you like crazy, dark and gritty, then When My Heart Was Wicked is the book for you! It has INSANELY weird things going on, and will make you question what’s real and what isn’t. Also the twists? Whew.

And there you have it! Thoughts?
